    Gorgeous color on those butterfly-like blooms, Janet! Does anyone monitor residual radioactivity taken up from the soil into the plant and animal life living on this site?

      Thanks Lavinia, yes I’m sure they do. The area is still used at times for rocket testing (just not Atomic ones now!) It’s quite a controlled area to enter. A huge “clean-up” was conducted in the years immediately after and then again in the 1990’s.
