Date Palms in the Australian Outback (Dalhousie Ruins)

Date Palms in the Australian Outback
Dalhousie Ruins, Central Australia…

It is not unusal to find date palms in the remote Australian Outback, particularly in the centre of Australia.

Often planted by Afghan Camel Traders.

The Australian Outback…If you can survive the flies, you’ll love it!

Found your blog through Christina. No mountain climbing for “Honey.” But we do (me mostly) do like rock climbing!!

      Hi (Umm) Honey!

Well not too much mountaineering or climbing over the past month, but plenty coming up over the next few months… Plenty of outdoor pursuits going on to keep fit for the mountains
      though.

Heading to altitude is the main game, but rock climbing keeps all the skills up-to-date, and is lots of fun!

And crikey…wasn’t Christina sweet to write about me like that! Take care out there… 🙂

Gorgeous pic! You know, I didn’t even notice those when we were there?

Oh what I would give to trade one of my days in American for one of your Australian excursions!
