    There is an interesting cross-shaped object by the wall that is leaning over. The lower section looks like a palm tree that has been cut off and the old fronds removed. What is that?

      Yes, would be a plam tree, not at all uncommon in outback Australia, especially the interior as there were many Afghan Cameleers….
