We had our first hard freeze this morning.
I was able to make two batches of wine this fall. I’ll know in another month or two how they came out. The grapes weren’t quite as ripe as we wanted, but hopefully made a fine rose. Good lunch wine! Skins tend to pick up smoke which ends up in the wine. We know of at least on winemaker in the valley who is not making pinot noir this year.
