Lovely to see this. The indigenous people call them bush turkey. 🙂 I took my remote N.T. indigenous school out on a bush excursion once & as well as finding :sugar bag” – wild honey – the man who came with us shot 2 bush turkeys. They were back to camp of course & relished by the families,

Beautiful photo of this species. I just read one was recorded at 32 lbs. That is a big bird! I don’t think we have them here.

How big is that? Looks a reasonable size but perhaps the perspective against the shrub is deceiving.
