    OMG I love the color of the dirt there! Stunning! I’ve never seen it look like that except where you live! The contrast with the sky is amazing! 😀

    I love how the intense blue bowl of sky meets the intense orange-red of the landscape in these photos. The Outback – where heaven and earth become one for all those who travel this road.

      Lovely – oddly, this is the Gary Junction Highway, not merely a road…! Such is Outback Australia.

      Visitors to our country can easily be thrown by that term “highway” it throws up images of major road with the Golden Arch’s along the way…Cheers, Baz

        Yes, it threw me for sure! Far to wet in winter/spring where I am for anything except a conventional road surface. 🙂

      Often thought about it, some have been used in various ways, but for me I love that people appreciate them…
