Do not be fooled by simplicity (In training and life)

“Do not be fooled by simplicity, both in training and life.”

When you let this sink in you begin to realise how easy it is to over complicate life and training.

It is easy to get away from the basics.

It is easy to conclude more is better, or flashier is better.

Truth be told, the simple path is often the tried and true path.

Good old pushups and squats – they work, they are free, and you can do them anywhere – including the gym, your house, or the Australian outback (not that this American girl would know *sad face*).

Thank You for this reminder. I needed this especially since I am going back to the gym after a protracted cold. 🙂

This is often so true – except when it comes to my rum. Less is not more there…

Well said pal! When I trained for a big mountain, I strapped on a pack and climbed smaller ones! Long rides? I do many MANY shorter ones, with hills, and working up to long ones.
