Good old pushups and squats – they work, they are free, and you can do them anywhere – including the gym, your house, or the Australian outback (not that this American girl would know *sad face*).
Well said pal! When I trained for a big mountain, I strapped on a pack and climbed smaller ones! Long rides? I do many MANY shorter ones, with hills, and working up to long ones.
