Success Isn’t Permanent (And Failure Isn’t fatal)

Not a bad thought to keep in mind, and it is one of the things I like to remind myself of each day as I chase my dreams…

Hey, remember how I was petrified about altitude sickness whilst climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, I am here to tell you that I made it to the peak :)))

Great work…and in fact Mt Kilimanjaro has some of the highest incidents of altitude sickness due to the speed it is done at and lack of sufficient acclimatisation…

      What’s next? 🙂

        Thank youuuu…
Yeah I suffered a great deal, was panting from day one, in addition to lack of sleep and some haziness and headaches, but hey it doesn’t matter now, I made it to the peak ;)…
Well I wanna do Everest in the near future, as for now would love to hike Machu Picchu, maybe Mont Blanc, dunno but I wanna reach another summit :)…
        suggestions?

Do some climbing in Nepal. If you have an interest in climbing Mt Everest best to get some experience there. There are a number of 6,000 metre peaks that provide a good training base for higher altitude climbs. My progression is through the 6,000 metre peaks, and onto Cho Oyu an 8,000 metre peak, and one of the more accessible of the 8,000 metre peaks. They would be a great base for Everest… Good luck!

That is a fantastic thought, and one I need to consciously try to keep front and centre myself.

Keep working it Baz, you’ve got some mountains to climb!

Well put buddy. I usually give myself a week of chest puffing and self back slappin after I reach the goal for the year, then I start thinking about “What’s next?”

I’m all for it…celebrate the success! Some times it is easy to be down on yourself, until you look back at the achievements! 🙂
