I have a confession - I am a huge sucker for adventure stories. On my bookshelf there are many stories about real life adventurers, from hiking to sailing to mountaineering. One of the main reasons I moved from the safety of my home, job and life in South Dakota was Bill Bryson’s book, A Walk in the Woods. I read it multiple times, each time imagining myself on the trail.

Ha! Thanks for the reblog, and Bob Parr is no schlump! Many men would strive to be him! Thanks so much for letting me write about you
that is so cool :}
I had no idea that you’d suddenly become famous! It’s no surprise. And when you’ve conquered all those 8000 meter peaks, we’ll be saying, “Yes, we knew him when he just jumped out or airplanes and rappelled down the sides of skyscrapers…” Congratulations to you, Baz! You really are “incredibly” inspiring!
And loving it!
No, to be honest as a family we love adventure, and we truly are inspired by many people from all walks of life…
